Admissions

How to join the waitlist, what care costs, and the help available to pay for it.

Openings change by classroom

Availability varies by age group and changes through the year. Right now we have limited openings for four and five year olds, and the infant and toddler lists are long.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a place. It is how we reach you when one opens, and how we understand what families in Providence need.

HOW ADMISSIONS WORKS

From the waitlist to your child’s first day

We accept new children all year. Each age group has its own waitlist, and we contact families in order when a place opens.

Help paying for care

We accept payment through the Rhode Island Department of Human Services Child Care Assistance Program for families who qualify. Tell us when you join the waitlist and we can talk you through it.

Early Head Start also runs in our center through our partnership with Children’s Friend.

Rhode Island State Pre-K

Our State Pre-K classrooms are funded by the Rhode Island Department of Education, which runs a lottery to choose children each year.

If your child is selected, they attend free from September through June for a six hour day. Apply directly to the state.

Payments and policies

  • Weekly payments are due on the Friday before the week your child attends.
  • Grace period. Payments made after Tuesday at noon carry a $10 late fee. Accounts two weeks behind have enrollment paused until paid in full.
  • Your place is reserved, not pay as you go. Tuition covers the days you register for, including illness, vacation, holidays and snow days.
  • Late pick-up starts five minutes after your child’s scheduled time. There is a $10 fee at 5:00pm, then $1 for every minute after.
  • Returned checks carry a $25 charge, and declined cards $10.

The full fee sheet and every family form are on our For Parents page.
