Our model rests on one belief: children learn through play. Through a mix of child choice and teacher directed activities, they build the foundation for reading, writing and logical thinking.
Teachers plan around where each child is developmentally, including children with special needs, and they value the talents every child brings. Most importantly, we work to make each child’s day fun.
Small groups, consistent caregivers, and word from us every day about how your baby ate, slept and played.
Play based learning that gets children ready for kindergarten, including our Rhode Island State Pre-K classrooms.

Years serving Providence families
Rhode Island State Pre-K classrooms
We hire and keep a racially, culturally and linguistically diverse staff that reflects the families we serve, so we can work with every family in a way that respects their language and culture.
The same goes for what children see. Puzzles, books, pictures and dramatic play materials in every classroom show people of different ages, languages, races, religions, family makeups and abilities.
Some of our classrooms and services are funded or run with state and community partners. Each one keeps care within reach for more families.
Free Pre-K classrooms funded by the Rhode Island Department of Education, with places chosen by state lottery.
Early Head Start classrooms on site, through our partnership with Children’s Friend.
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack that meet USDA guidelines, through the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
We accept the Rhode Island Child Care Assistance Program for families who qualify.
